Filter Housings

As you can see from the picture, filter housings come in a variety of sizes depending on how much water you need to filter. A huge variety of specialty filter cartridges can be used in each of the housings.

Standard housings have a smaller diameter than Big Blue® housings. Both standard and Big Blue® housings are available in 10” and 20” lengths.

Larger diameter and longer length cartridges have more surface area. Higher surface area cartridges allow greater flow rates and hold more contaminant.

MacDonald Water Systems can help you choose the filter housings and cartridges that meet your needs. Cartridges and their filter housing must be carefully selected to ensure a sufficient flow of water and proper treatment.
